Spokeo

The thing about spokeo.com is that it is an aggregator. That means it is run by a program that crawls around the internet and collects all the information it can find. But it can only find information that has been put there by you.  Some of the searches i found (links at the end) said that the information that it displays a person with advanced computer skills and knowledge of the internet and where to go can get all the same information.

Spokeo.com says on it its blog that they "support 40 different social networks". (http://www.spokeo.com/blog/?page_id=127)

Unless you stay off the internet entirely the best thing you can do is set all of the permissions for the sites you join to a level of security that you are comfortable with.
